Whatsapp also released a survey to register small businesses to test the Whatsapp Business app. The company is asking the testers to test everything like features, new icon etc. and reply with their feedback.

Normal Whatsapp doesn’t support landline numbers. The most amazing part of Whatsapp Business is it supports landline numbers. You will not have to give your personal number to everyone. It is isolated from Whatsapp.

The Whatsapp Business App is in testing mode. However, you can’t use it because it is in a private beta testing version. The Whatsapp Business App is listed separately from the normal Whatsapp. The icon is same. But the phone in normal Whatsapp icon is replaced by the letter B. 

The app looks same as Whatsapp but now the title bar says Whatsapp Business in place of Whatsapp only. There are same icons of chat, status, camera, and others. There are changes in Settings. You will find two new options of Business Settings and Statistics.

Statistics gives basic information at this time. In Whatsapp Business, in statistics you can see the number of messages sent, received, messages delivered and read. There is nothing special like analytics required for a business app. But it is just the start. I hope more statistics options will come with the app. You can still get some information of messages from the Statistics tab in Whatsapp business.

Business Settings have two further sections: Edit Business Profile and Away Messages. You can edit your business information in Business Profile section. Away messages are also helpful for your business. We have described both separately in below section.

When you create a new profile, the app will ask you for information like Business description, email, website, location, category etc.

There are a lot of categories to choose from. You will surely find something related to your business. You can also choose Other as a category. You can also edit your profile any time.

👉Away Messages :

One of the best benefits of Whatsapp Business app is the option of Away Messages. Actually, Away Messages are the automated replies that customers will get when they try to reach you. In Whatsapp Business App, you can customize away messages as you want with text and emojis.

You can schedule these messages with a start date and end date and time. Still, it is missing the repetitive options like every Saturday. Hope Whatsapp Business gets this feature soon, so you don’t have to manually turn it on and off every time.

Customers can see your profile to check your information. They will see all the details you entered in Business profile. Whenever they will try to reach you, they will see a message saying, “You are talking to a business account and it has/hasn’t been verified.
