IND vs AUS : Latest Update on Shreyas Iyer, Likely to miss ODI against Australia

In what comes as a huge reversal for India, star middle- order batter Shreyas Iyer is likely to miss the forthcoming three- match ODI series between India and Australia as he's down with aft issues. Iyer, due to pain in his lower back, did not indeed come out to club for India on Day 4 of Ind vs Aus 4th Test in Ahmedabad." There's a high possibility that Iyer could miss the three- match ODI series against Australia, starting March 17 in Mumbai," news agency PTI reported.

" Shreyas Iyer complained of pain in his lower reverse following the third day's play. He has gone for reviews and the BCCI Medical Team is covering him," BCCI said in a medical update.

Iyer has been floundering with his lower aft issue since January 2023. He was ruled out playing any match for the public platoon for a month and returned to Bangalore's National Cricket Academy( NCA) for recuperation. He missed playing IND vs AUS Test series event nature in Nagpur but was declared match- fit for IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Delhi and indeed played the third Test in Indore.

Shreyas Iyer is an Indian cricketer who was born on December 6, 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He's a right- handed middle- order batsman and an occasional off- incentive. Iyer started his domestic justice career in 2014- 15, playing for Mumbai in the Ranji jewel. He made his debut in the Indian Premier League( IPL) in 2015 for the Delhi Devils( now Delhi centrals). He has been a regular member of the Delhi centrals platoon since also, and indeed captained the platoon in the 2020 season. Iyer made his transnational debut for India in November 2017, in a T20I against New Zealand. He latterly made his ODI debut in December 2017, also against New Zealand. He has since played several matches for the Indian platoon, including in the 2019 World Cup. Iyer is known for his aggressive fur style, capability to rotate strike and his sharp fielding chops. He has been considered as a promising gift for Indian justice in the middle- order fur position.
